Ordered two Harris tweed Bowmore sofas (Grand & Petite) + a Dunmore chair on 20 January 2022 with a 17 week target delivery date of 19th May 2022. Delivery of the order arrived 18 July 2022 just over 25 weeks from order date.
Barker and Stonehouse were brilliant throughout, calling us several times throughout the lead time to update us on the progress of our order, apologising for the delays with our order, due mainly to shortage of materials (Harris tweed).
For our troubles we were offered, without prompting, a substantial discount on our order for the delay beyond the 17 weeks. A week or so before the order delivery, we were called again to confirm our revised delivery date, with a follow-up call 5 days before delivery for the balancing payment to be made. Everyone was so polite and professional throughout. We could not have expected more.
24 hours before delivery we received a message to confirm the two hour window when it would be delivered. Delivery was made within the first half hour of the delivery window by two very pleasant drivers, Colin and Phil who unloaded, carried and constructed (legs etc) our three purchases on the hottest day of the year, without any fuss. Each order was very well protected in transit and handled with care in to our newly constructed "garden room".
Despite the delivery delays to our order, which were genuinely outside the company's control, I really cannot fault Barker and Stonehouse at all. Quite the opposite, we are absolutely delighted with our new sofas and chair and the customer service we have received throughout the lead time to completion.
We are delighted to recommend Barker and Stonehouse and will certainly consider them as first choice in any future furniture purchase.

Linda from the Guildford store was absolutely fantastic, highly recommend a visit! She stayed way after her shift to help us and was very knowledgeable and supportive.

We had a delivery from Mark & Alex who were the most professional pair of delivery persons I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Their assistance and eagerness to please on what was the hottest day of the year and on record (to date) was second to none and when one component didn’t fit into the house or up the stairs, they were happy to wait and advise whilst we worked through the issue.
It was a pleasure meeting them both and I cannot recommend them enough, thank you.

Had a delivery of garden furniture in the heat of yesterday. Stephen and Mathew from Middlesbrough delivered in the allocated time slot and also telephoned in advance to let me know when they would be with me. Very friendly, careful with the delivery and set it up and made sure all was correct and acceptable to me.

Paul and Tony B from Middlesbrough delivered our Harrington sofa today and what a smashing experience it was! Super polite and not scared to crack a joke even lugging it upstairs in 39c weather! Shame for them that they weren’t allowed to wear shorts though! Come on @barkerandstonehouse surely no one would be offended by kneecaps?? Sofa is gorgeous and has the bellyflop seal of approval from my kids 10/10 would recommend!

Great Delivery - I was sure my delivery would be cancelled since it was 40 degree heat, Wojciech & Cristian (delivery guys) we’re great. Called and gave me a 20 minute heads up of delivery time after I already had been given a 2 hour window the day before.

I was very impressed with the fitting team (Prince and Michael from Eggborough) who fitted our wardrobes yesterday- they were very professional under incredibly trying conditions (extremely hot)
